Ordinary plastic toothbrush

Since toothbrushes are essentially compact objects, they cannot be incorporated into most industrial recycling machinery. Therefore, every gram of plastic used in creating a toothbrush is wasted forever. Non-One toothbrush takes over 500 years to decompose into the soil. Just in India, more than 150 million plastic toothbrushes are thrown into the garbage every month.

CONSEQUENCES OF USING PLASTIC TOOTHBRUSH

About 5 billion plastic toothbrushes are being thrown away every year, and almost all of them are unrecyclable. Using plastic toothbrush not only drains the oil supply, but it's also polluting our ocean and harming the wildlife. Thousands of wildlife animals are killed every year due to ingesting plastic.

Plastic toothbrushes are made up of several different types of plastics. Being manmade, that means they don't naturally decompose and it's difficult to recycle most of these plastics. In fact, the handle cannot be recycled at all. The plastic toothbrush can last up to 500 years.  Don't think an electric toothbrush is any better!

These toothbrush isn't only bad for the planet, it's bad for you too. A huge amount of microplastics have contaminated sea salt around the world and are finding their way into the food chain via the salt in our diet.

pluwtox bamboo toothbrush

Bamboo toothbrushes reduce waste and are actually anti-microbial. The most widely known and popular advantage, a bamboo-based toothbrush eliminates unnecessary waste while giving you the same quality of cleaning that a plastic brush can offer. It is safe, hygenic, bio-degradable , eco friendly and BPA free.

BRISTLE OF THE TOOTHBRUSH

Bristles of our toothbrush are made up of PBT

PBT is a thermoplastic polyester compound that does not absorb water as much as nylon bristles . Therefore, PBT is a useful plastic material for wet applications and are bio compatible and bio degradable in nature.

Why we need a soft bristle toothbrush ?

Dental professionals recommend soft-bristle toothbrushes because too much pressure or overzealous brushing can negatively impact the enamel and gums. The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends soft-bristle toothbrushes to ensure an excellent clean without harming your teeth.

Hard or old bristles can damage your gums and have a wearing effect on the enamel of your teeth.

BODY OF THE TOOTHBRUSH
